St. Claret Seminary (Umsning)

St. Claret Seminary receives aspiring candidates who freely and willingly express their desire to join the Claretians and provides them initial three years of formation and academics.

Students generally join after Grade X or XII. Those who join after X complete their higher secondary studies while in SCSU. The well-trained formation team introduces the students to a deeper knowledge and appreciation of spiritual and community life while catering to their all round development through various activities through associations such as SCALF (St. Claret Art & Literary Forum), Sports & Games, community service, seminars and conferences, leadership training, public speaking skills, and other soft skills. Students from various tribes learn the art of intercultural living as well. There are currently 43 students. Umsning also holds the final resting place of Claretian Missionaries through a well prepared Garden of the Resurrection.

St. Claret Seminary also hosts the Office of the Vocation Promoter who identifies, evaluates, and invites students who are well-motivated and freely willing to embrace consecrated living. We invite young and dynamic Catholics (who are completing Grade X / XII/ Degree studies) and who are psychologically mature, physically healthy, who, of their own free will and consent, desire to join us Claretians to dedicate their life for the love of God and fellow human beings.
