Young Leadership for the Young Church Featured

The Claretian missionaries of Northeast India, under the prefecture of Youth and Vocation Ministry initiated a five day long programme on Youth Leadership and Empowerment on 13, July 2017 at St. Claret School, Nongmensong for the youth animators in the Claretian parishes in  Northeast India.

The five day long yoth animation programme commensed with the Holy Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Pius Thuruthiyil cmf, major superior NEID. He emphasized on the claretian way of evangelizing and invited the youth of the claretian parishes to share this mission. Later, Fr. Arnest Kharmawlong cmf, assisted by Fr.  Mathew Vadakkel cmf led the youth to the understanding of who is a claretian youth and what is his/ her role in the faith formation of the christian community today. The first day of the programme was attended by 50 participants.

On the second day (14, July) Fr. Joy Pulickal, CMF the prefect of apostolate celebrated the mass and shared with the community the true meaning of the transforming presence of the Eucharist. Fr. Paul Lyngkot SDB animated the day with various input sessions, and made the group of youth feel more lively. At the end of the day Dn. Janardhan Munnelli conducted a Bible quiz and awarded the winners.
