Commencement 2017 at SCCZ

ZIRO, April 30:  Saint Claret College, Ziro, marked the Commencement of the outgoing Claretine Class of 2017 by its signature ceremony with the motto, “launching you to life,” presided over by  Shri. Tage Taki, MLA of Ziro-Hapoli, in the presence of a host of invitees, guests, parents, and Claretines.

The Commencement Ceremony is a solemn Rite of Passage by which the graduating class is blessed and sent forth to the world to commence their personal and professional life as a mature, responsible, and educated adult to contribute to nation building. The ceremony began with a solemn procession by the Class accompanied by the officials of the ceremony. Rev. Fr. Pius Thuruthiyil, Major Superior of Claretians of Northeast India and President of the Governing Body of the College, administered the Commencement Pledge to the Class. The Presider, Shri. Tage Taki, declared the Class worthy of graduation and commencement, and Shri. Kurian Thomas, Deputy Registrar (UGC & Projects), Rajiv Gandhi University, awarded the Commencement certificates. In his Commencement address, Shri. Taki congratulated the College for getting “A” Grade in NAAC accreditation and  encouraged the students to become employers rather than employees. Ms. Toko Jiri, the Valedictorian for the Class of 2017, shared heartwarming memories of the three-year journey of her batch and thanked the College for shaping their lives for the better.
